ED Report – February 2017
PRODUCTION AND OUTREACH
A large crowd was on hand at Danversport to give recognition to the winners
On February 8, BevCam taped the Business Awards sponsored by the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce. The well attended annual event was held at the Danversport Yacht Club.
As has become a tradition, on a windy cold day, BevCam was on hand for the 10th annual Polar Plunge at Woodbury Beach in Lynch Park. Sponsored by the River House and the North Shore CDC, the event seems to attract bigger crowds every year.
As a community service BevCam tapes all City Council meetings in City Hall Chambers. Mayor Mike Cahill presented his State of the City message during the February 6 session. All past meetings are also archived and available to view on BevCam’s web site.
BevCam has another new producer. Philip Lowe of the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts, has started producing a new series called “The Art of Woodworking”. Shows will be taped locally in Phil’s workshop in Beverly.
Former Producer of the Year, Peter Stewart, continues to tape his popular show, “I Have Music in Me” at the BevCam studio. His musical performers include young singers, dancers and actors.
On February 16, John King, the host of “The Voice of Business” welcomed Steve Hahn, Board Member of Symphony by the Sea, and Casey Soward, Executive Director of The Cabot Center, to the show. They discussed their involvement in local entertainment.
